Schedules and routines - 'ahh phooey' is what I think of them, in PG terms. When I was in Spain, I was incredibly jealous of the lifestyle they had. My girlfriend's brother has a shop that he closes for lunch, and after lunch he takes a nap. He doesn't have a set schedule as to when he will open it up again - he'll do it when he wakes up :) Afternoon naps were not only integrated in their day to day activities, but it's almost second nature. Its something very normal back in my country as well, but slowly disappearing as well due to the westernization of the industries - adopting the same schedules as the US counterparts. Big cities in Europe also don't get time for siestas, but in a small town like Barcena Mayor, even the dog gets idea.
